Take Care Of Your Silk!

 

All our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100% certified this is free of any harmful substances, non-toxic, it does not consist of any chemicals which means it is safe, all natural silk is also resistant to the growth of mold, mildew, dust mites and fungi making it especially good for allergy sufferers. And we use high quality mulberry silk fabric which can be machine wash, and to prolong the lifespan of your silk follow the instructions for washing silk. 

- We prefer to hand wash, however our premium quality silk it can be machine wash     at a low temperature.

- Place in a mesh bag to avoid the zip from getting caught.
- Wash in lukewarm water (30°C).
- Use silk/mild detergent to avoid fading.
- Do not spin, just squeeze the water out gently by hand.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Hang to dry in the shade;
- Do not use bleach.
- Hang scrunchies to dry on a door knob if possible in the shade.
- Do not expose silk under direct sunlight.
- Iron on a cool iron.- Iron on the reverse side with a cool iron, preferable whilst damp.
